If you travel to Thailand you will find a wide selection of goods for sale. Everything from typical "vestern" products such as luggage, polo shirts and sports shoes to local specialities are available.
I know people
who have financed their vaccation here by bringing back goods, primarely clothes,
which they have sold at high profit after the holliday.
I have also met several more professional purchsers that has been bying up
everything from gold to soap, either for themselves or on behalf of retailers
back home.
One product that
I have not seen exported to my native Norway is the "Saardon", a
very Northern Thai / Oriental style trousers. These trousers are wide, comfortable
and are made with a vareity of fabrics and in many different colors. They
are obviously well suited for the local climate, but would also fit well on
a sommer day in Europe or in the USA.
"Saardon" should be an ideal beach wear, as well as for having something
both comfortable and stylish to easily put on around the house. And with its
distinctive oriental look it could be a fashion ithem as well, I am sure.
The "Saardon"
is traditionally made in only one size that will fit most people, 
regardless
of shape. The garnment is delivered with or without a leg pocket at the same
price. Special sizes can easily be made, for a small additional cost. Exclusive
fabrics, such as the famous Thai silk made locally here in Chiang Mai can
be used to turn this into a true luxury item.
The price for the Saardon is 7 USD pr. trouser at the time of writing. Cost
of shipment comes in addition, and will obviously vary somewhat depending
on where the goods are to be sent, and how fast.

Embroidery by hand on the trousers can be done locally in Chiangmai at a low price. Machine embroidery, such as for company logo's, can be delivered from her, as well as silk-print.
