Health services are expensive in many countries, but not in Thailand. You can save money on a number of services, including first rate dental work.
Thailand has some of the
regions best and most modern hospitals, and good dentists. Expertise in plastic
surgery is high.
Rising numbers combines a holiday here with a visit to the doctor. Services
that are very expensive, or perhaps the waiting line is long, drives westerners
to Thailand to get things done and save money.
If you need new glasses you should check out what is on offer. Compared to my native Norway, the prices are very low indeed.
Plastic surgery is popular in Thailand, not the least because of all the sex change operations. Many Thai girls also have their noses adjusted and made larger, for some reason.
At prices comparative to a hotel room you can get a private hospital room with TV, roomservice, bathroom, a balcony, a sitting group for guests and so on. Very nice, it is.
Some hospitals specialises in foreign clients. Two good one are the Bangkok Hospital and Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, but there are many others with high standards and expertise. Up north the Chiang Mai Ram hospital is regarded as the best.
Then there is spa and traditional massage. Spa has really taken off here, come to Thailand if you want to be pampered.
