There are quite a few golf courses in Thailand, and prices are reasonable. But...
I sat down one day to check out what I could find out about golf courses and country clubs in Chiang Mai. The search results was massive amounts of booking services and third hand references, rather than direct links to the actual golf course operators. Much the same as if you search for a hotel these days, you get plenty of hits all right - but do you get the URL for the hotel's own web pages? Less likely.
So what
about the real, bonafide homepages?
It seems most all of these booking services, either they peddle hotel rooms
of golfing packages, are less than keen on giving you a link directly to the
supplier. I suppose they have their comissions to protect. But for you, the
end customer, it may be of interest to investigate a bit before you spend
your good money. Proboably, you will find that the price differs.
With increasing numbers of golf enthusiasts finding their way to Thailand I thought it proper to compile a list of golf courses with a direct web adress to each and every one. With no mouse clicking through multiple pop-ups or pages full of advertisements to get where you want to go.
It is actually a bit tricky to search out all these URL's, as they are often hidden by pages and pages of "the best prices guaranteed" types of undertakings online. Hence, there are a few holes in my list. Furthermore I may well have missed the odd golf course, but I am working to make the list complete. I appreciate any tips I can get here, most obliged if you would send me a mail should you be able to advice on missing clubs (or URL's I have not yet found).
For details on golf courses, you may want to take a look at the official website of the Thailand Golf Association (T.G.A.).
I would like to underline that I ask NO charges for listings on this page, and NEITHER do I ask for reciprocal links from any site listet. Either would defy the purpose of the list here, in that 1. I am simply trying to add relevant content to my homepages and 2. My web total is not about golf, but about Thailand in general.

I hope
the list may be of use. Any golf courses not here are missing simply
because I do not know of them, and any web adresses missing are absent because
I have not managed to find them yet. Possibly, some of the entries does not
yet have their own independent websites.
I welcome any
help I can get here. So kindly send me
a mail if you can contribute.
Possibly I should try to put up a small page for each entry on the list, having
said A, et cetera. I am considering that, but it will be a bit of a project.
Still, listings with no clutter of "excellent bargains" and whatnot
appeals to me. We shall see. And the text ads displayed here and there on
my pages actually pays for my web hosting, with a load of new pages - and
if people visit them - I might just get the extra revenue to pay for the odd
bottle of Bombay as a bonus...
